Well as most of you know, the LIONS are favored to win Sunday AT the Metrodome. The line is Lions -3.5 pts.
According to online sources 85% of the money in Vegas is being put on the LIONS. I find it amazing how much hype, both positive and negative, can affect the public and by default, expert opinions. According to the jist of opinions I've Been reading from non Minnesota based sources, McNabb is "terrible" Detroit will smother us, Matthew Stafford and Megatron will be hard to stop yada yada. NO ONE has picked the vikes to even beat the spread. It seems like no one has any common sense.
First of all we're talking about TWO games thus far more or less, cause clearly no one is looking at the LIONS horrid 14 game losing streak at the dome, the LIONS awful road record, the return of K WILL, Our RB named AP "...who has gained 814 yards in eight career games against the Lions... and he has done most of the damage at the Metrodome, where the teams play Sunday. In four games there, he has gained 520 yards (294 in Detroit) and scored six of his seven touchdowns against the Lions:" etc etc
AHEM.
Mighty Matthew Stafford has faced us twice, lost both games and had a total of 2 TDs 2 INTs and less the 400 yards total. I'm real scared.
Last time LIONS started out 3-0? 1980. This team isn't even as good as the Herman Moore Barry sanders ones. Chill out with the hype please! They're over valued and the Vikes are undervalued.
If I went to the game I'd hold a sign up the first time he's sacked
YOU'RE NOT PLAYING KANSAS ANYMORE
MY money is on the Vikes. No spread.
Should be a fun game...
SKOL!

First off, vegas creates lines in hopes to get bets on both sides of the bet. Thats why packers are always slightly overrated becuz they know packers fans will overbet. Vegas lines aside, have the vikings shown you anything to merit being the favorite this week? I admit, lions might be a little overrated giventheir dline and stafford, but theyve shown way more the first two weeks than the vikes have. The vikings have some issues. They dont have a true no1 wr. Mcnabb is just ok. And besides antoine winfield, their secondary is marginal. Yes, ap is great but in this era of football, u need either a top 5 defense (they dont) or an explosive offense (they def dont) to be successful. Do i think the lions will win? No. I am avoiding betting on this game. But theres absolutely no reason that the vikings should be considered the better team in this game, whether its in mn or not.
My thoughts are when it comes to rivalry games....all common sense, stats and so-called Favorites go out the window. In heated divisional matchups I've seen the most crazy unexplainable shit! Oakland Raiders from last season anyone? THEY WON ALL THEIR DIVISIONAL GAMES....and MISSED THE PLAYOFFS!
The line was perfect haha 3.5 points. Vikes lost by 3 in OT I told my lions fans I'd bet them the spread they declined haha I guess I'm a hypocrite but I didn't lose any money :)
Obviously a crazy game I don't know anyone who thought we'd lose at the half. Just a weird combo of inefficient coach calls and erratic QB play. McNabb def isn't showing me he's even a Viking yet. No turnovers all season and we've only trailed 6 minutes the entire year and were 0 and 3!? Anyways thanks for reading you repacklican!
